The Change Leadership Workshop

You've got change coming. And a room of leaders to carry through it.

Most change work hands you a plan. Almost none of it asks how your people need to feel to come through the change well. This is the workshop that does. Built to be run by a leader, not a consultant.

A leader, not a consultant

She'd never run the ECD. She ran it with sixty leaders.

Eva was an Innovation Lead, not a facilitator, not a coach, with a big change to carry her leaders through. She'd never run the Emotional Culture Deck before. She didn't wait to become an expert. She picked up the workshop and the deck and ran it herself, with sixty leaders across seven offices. Here's what happened, in her own words.

How the workshop works

The shape, and the questions that carry it.

A two-hour workshop for 10 to 60 leaders, built on the Emotional Culture Deck. Three parts, plus a warm-up and a reflection. It moves a leadership team from their own experience of change to a shared, named agreement on how they'll lead their people through it.

Part one · Self-Awareness

Personal change reflection

Each leader reflects on a change they've lived through, how it felt, and what they learned. So they lead from real experience, not theory.

Part two · Intention Setting

How we want our people to feel

Using the deck, the team names how they want their people to feel through this change, and how they don't. The heart of the workshop.

Part three · Leadership Behaviours

How we lead through change

Turn those feelings into the leadership behaviours and actions that will create them, and name the ones to leave behind.

How do we want our people to feel, and not feel, throughout this period of change?

The Change Course

Learn to run this, and the whole emotional side of change, the way Eva learned to. A 90-day cohort course with the tools, the mentors, and the community to make it stick.

Measured, not assumed

The approach behind it is measured.

Eva's workshop is one short expression of a bigger approach: name how people want to feel through change, then design for it. In a separate, longer change programme, Professor Michael Parke at The Wharton School measured that same approach inside a real organisational change, before and after. The shifts were real, and statistically significant. These figures come from that programme, not from this workshop. What they share is the method.

Go deeper

Learn to lead the emotional side of change.

You don't get a say in the change coming at you and your people. You do get a say in how you carry them through it. The Emotional Change Strategy Course is where you learn how, over 90 days of lessons, then 90 days living it in community. Take a look inside.
